Fabrication layout tech
Day shift 6am-2:30p $20/hr
As a Fabrication layout tech, you will play a crucial role in the production process, responsible for the layout and preparation of fabrication and assembly work. Using your expertise in blueprint reading, welding, and hand/power tools, you will ensure that our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and follow technical drawings and blueprints to lay out and mark materials for fabrication
- Perform welding tasks, including spot welding, to assemble components
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to cut, shape, and prepare materials for fabrication
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Skilled in welding, including spot welding techniques
- Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools
- Computer literate with the ability to work with production software
- High school diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire position located in our production facility. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with machinery and power tools.
