Job Description:
As a Production Worker - Custom Blind Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of custom blinds by selecting raw materials, cutting fabric and aluminum, and efficiently assembling and packing the finished products. accurately read a tape measure to the 16” is a requirement and understand the fabric-cutting process.
You will also be tasked with delivering the packed blinds to the shipping department for shipment and billing.
Responsibilities:
Pick Raw Materials: Select and gather the necessary materials for each production order, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Fabric and Aluminum Cutting: Measure and cut fabric and aluminum components to the correct size based on production specifications.
Blind Assembly: Follow assembly instructions to assemble custom blinds, including attaching fabric to frames and installing mechanisms to ensure all components fit together seamlessly.
Quality Control: Inspect assembled blinds for quality, ensuring they meet required standards and specifications.
Packaging: Properly pack finished custom blinds to protect them during transit and delivery.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of assembled blinds and production orders for tracking and inventory purposes.
Deliver to Shipping: Transport packed blinds to the shipping department and coordinate with the shipping team for timely shipment and billing.
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a production or assembly role is preferred.
Ability to use measuring tools and operate cutting equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently.
Team player with effective communication skills.
Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
