Pro Resources Staffing Service is currently recruiting for an EHS Coordinator in Elwood!  Immediate direct hire opportunity with a major manufacturer offering a great starting salary with an excellent benefits package!

Job duties:

Develops and coordinates environmental, health, and safety programs for the Company and promotes the continuous improvement of a safe and healthy work environment.
Monitors facility and processes for adherence to all federal, state, and local safety, health and environmental regulations, and ensures appropriate records are maintained and prepared in accordance with established guidelines.
Facilitates root cause identification process for all accidents/incidents to ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
Represents the Company in regulatory inspections (OSHA, EPA, IDEM, etc.), and responds to any inspection findings.
Coordinates all regulatory permitting for safety, health, and environmental programs.
Trains employees on safety policies, procedure, and regulations.
Oversees the Company s environmental management system (EMS) in accordance with the ISO14001 standard.
Administers the Workers Compensation program including correspondence with occupational health doctors and Workers Compensation TPA, administering light duty work program, and ensuring accuracy of Employer First Report of Injury.

Background Profile:

Bachelor s degree in an environmental affairs, safety, or related discipline preferred; however, relevant experience may substitute.
Minimum of 2-5 years hands on experience coordinating and implementing safety and environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
Experience facilitating and/or implementing ISO14001.
Experience with environmental compliance including SARA, Title V, NESHAP, and RCRA.
Demonstrated history of effectively coordinating conflicting priorities in a fast paced work environment.
Record of achievement in using effective persuasion and communication skills with individuals at all levels and functions within the organization.
Ability to lead others in achieving high levels of commitment and attainment of continuous improvement in safety, health and environmental affairs.
