Job Title: Electrical Control Panel Builder
Salary: $18-20 and hour
Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Control Panel Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels according to engineering specifications and electrical diagrams. This role requires a strong understanding or electrical components, wiring schematics, and safety stands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Assemble and wire control panels according to specifications.
- Install electrical components such as relays, circuit breakers, PLCs, HMIs, and terminal blocks.
- Ensure proper routing and organization of wires and cables.
- Perform quality control checks and functional testing of control panels before shipment.
- Troubleshoot and correct wiring errors or component issues.
- Follow company and industry safety standards, including OSHA and NEC regulations.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and production teams to meet projects deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of panel builds, modifications, and test results.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical school or associate degree preferred).
- Experience in electrical panel building, wiring, or industrial electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical components such as relays, PLCs, HMIs, and motor controls.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of NEC(National Electrical Cod) and OSHA safety standards is a plus.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Work in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
