Job Status: Direct-Hire
Hours: 7am-4:30pm, M-Th and 7am-11am on Fridays with some OT
Pay: $18-24/hr, DOE
Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining machinery to support business needs while adhering to safety and preventative maintenance standards.
What you will be doing:
- Perform mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.
- Conduct periodic machinist duties.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals for maintenance and service tasks.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
- Carry out various plumbing and carpentry functions.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and systems, and take corrective action.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform fill-in tasks as needed to support maintenance needs.
Qualifications and Background:
- Will consider ENTRY-LEVEL candidates out of high school looking to get into Industrial Maintenance
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Trade school training
- Ability to quickly learn machine operations.
- Outside the box thinker
- Willingness to work in restricted spaces and with various materials, including oils and coolants.
- Licensed forklift operator and ability to use hoists and other support equipment.
- Ability to stoop, climb, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Independent worker, self-starter, positive thinker.
- Willingness to work various hours, including some overtime and weekends.
