Pro Resources Staffing Services in Auburn, IN has partnered with the established Butler Manufacturing facility. Our partner is currently hiring a full-time, Customer Service Specialist! We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are prepared to perform a variety of tasks. Individuals with customer service and clerical experience are a plus.
Shift and Compensation
-7: 00 am - 3: 30 pm, Mon-Fri
-Candidate must be able to train in Chicago for 3 weeks after hire, and then 2-3 days a month after.
-Rarely will meet with customers in IN, IL, and OH.
-Customer Service: Manage and maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers through effective communication, giving world class customer service. Handle customer inquiries including current, new, or potential customers. -Order Entry: The CSS receives orders from customers either through e mails, faxes, phone calls, or open purchase orders. The CSS is responsible for preparing the sales orders and production orders and outside processing orders based on customer releases. The CSS is also responsible for maintaining a clean library of master work orders to minimize errors and to maximize yields. -On-Time Delivery: The CSS is responsible to meet or exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery. If a problem is identified, the CSS manages customer expectations thru prompt communication. The CSS follow-through includes making sure orders are scheduled and have the correct promise date and sales order number. -Communication: The CSS builds and maintains positive relationships and open communication with both Account Managers (AM s) and other members of the CSS team. The CSS communicates with and involves the appropriate NPS personnel / departments to address any issues that affect assigned customers. The CSS also collaborates with an AM to keep the forecast current to manage inventory. -Customer Management System (CMS): The CSS maintains customer purchase orders, prices, and delivery dates in the CMS. The CSS maintains customer part specifications and updates customer notes quarterly. -Part Specification Manager (PSM): The CSS, working with the AM, enters and maintains all part specifications on new and existing parts for each assigned customer. Every part number should be in the PSM prior to shipping. -Manage Inventories: The CSS is responsible for any steel they process. The CSS must find the best possible application to maximize yield and gross profit by using supply chain tools to manage min max targets and optimize inventory turns. The CSS reviews inventories for assigned customers including on-hand, processed, source, and in bound material. The CSS rotates old inventory first, manages current and projected minimum/maximum levels on processed material. The CSS reallocates any non-allocated inventory to its appropriate part number or order group. -Outside Processing: The CSS is responsible for outside processing orders (bare, painted, stamped, or fabricated) and working with the outside processing department on paint runs, schedules, inventories, yields, and releases. -Quality: The CSS plays a critical role for customer satisfaction. The CSS makes quality calls on material for their assigned accounts. If uncertain, the CSS involves AM s, Quality, or Management in decisions. The CSS writes incident reports on customer complaints or rejects, making sure the AM is advised of any or all problems or situations. -A CSS reports to the Customer Support Manager.
-This position requires a minimum of 2 years of college and or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. -Able to train off site, open to some travel.
