Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $17–$18 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support operations within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a key communication link between customers and internal departments including manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders received via phone, email, and other channels
- Enter and manage customer orders in internal systems
- Maintain and update customer files, including contact and account information
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, pricing, and inquiries
- Coordinate with manufacturing and other departments to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Address customer concerns and route issues to appropriate departments as needed
- Review and verify pricing for accuracy on orders and invoices
- Assist with daily and weekly reporting, including financial tracking
- Manage documentation including active orders, closed orders, quotes, and related files
- Support additional administrative tasks such as sample requests, tooling orders, and job transfers
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience required; manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to read and interpret documents and respond to customer inquiries professionally
- Basic computer skills; experience with order entry systems or ERP systems is a plus
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or technical training preferred, or
- 6 months to 1 year of related experience, or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment:
- Office setting within a climate-controlled manufacturing facility
- Occasional exposure to production areas
- Moderate noise level
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day as needed
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
