Position Overview:
The Forklift Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload coffee products. In addition, this role requires a proactive leader who can set a positive example, support warehouse staff, and help maintain smooth day-to-day operations. We are looking for someone with BOL experience who can work with combining loads and communicate with truck drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport coffee products within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate inventory by scanning, labeling, and tracking shipments.
Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse layout for efficient workflow.
Lead by example—demonstrate punctuality, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Train and mentor new or temporary warehouse staff when needed.
Communicate effectively with the warehouse team and management to ensure smooth operations.
Follow all safety regulations and company policies regarding equipment operation and warehouse conduct.
Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
Contribute to a clean, organized, and productive warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid forklift certification/license and proven experience operating forklifts safely.
Minimum 2+ years of warehouse or material handling experience (coffee or food industry preferred).
Demonstrated leadership ability—able to motivate and guide others.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Basic computer or inventory management system skills a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
