2nd Shift CNC Water Jet Operator
Pay: $22 - $26/ hr Based on experience
Hours: 1:30pm to 10:00pm Must be able to train on 1st shift
Location: South Bend
The Water Jet Operator’s duties include Process material according to the work order specifications; ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition; maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner; complete all required information entry accurately; perform any other tasks as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities-
Operates and maintains CNC machine.
Pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
Takes precise measurements for cutting.
Selects appropriate machine settings for a given task.
Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete assignments.
Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
Maintains inventory of consumable machine parts.
Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs (TPM).
Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
Assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order.
Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Education-
High school diploma/GED required.
Knowledge and Skills-
3 years of experience in metals industry preferred, industrial warehouse experience preferred.
Strong math skills, experience working with fractions and decimals.
Machine operator experience for a minimum of three years
Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry, SAP Experience preferred.
Ability to operate side loaders, vacuum lifts, cranes and forklifts; forklift certified.
Ability to operator Amat wire, shelling saws, Bearing and Tsune circular sawing machines
Ability to lift 70 pounds.
