Pro Resources is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our client’s team in Berne, IN as a CNC Setup Associate. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent high school graduates or those with a background in shop classes, automotive work, or farming. Starting Pay: $17.36/hr
Top Pay: $25 - $26/hr (with experience and proficiency)
Main Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform setup and cleanup for various jobs on CNC equipment.
- Download and monitor programs during operation.
- Select, load, and unload tools.
- Support machine maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop.
- Operate powered equipment to cut various metals of different sizes.
- Operate forklift and overhead cranes/hoists as needed.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Perform additional tasks such as cleaning sand printed cores and supporting maintenance needs.
Qualifications and Background:
- Basic knowledge of CNC machine operations and language.
- Understanding of various machine operations and processes.
- Experience with lifting, clamping, and handling heavy, varied-size workpieces.
- Familiarity with different tool types, tool-holders, and selecting the appropriate tool for the job.
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Knowledge of leverage and weight handling with equipment.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Positive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Mechanical aptitude and use of calipers are beneficial.
- Capable of occasionally stooping, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements:
- Must provide own rolling tool chest and purchase tools itemized on the CNC Set-Up Tool List.
- HPI provides a tool program.
