Position: CNC Operator
Location: Goodland, IN
Hours/Shift: 6am-4pm (M-F) or 6pm-4am(M-Th)
Pay: $15-18/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines, saws, drill presses, and other equipment.
- Use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Read blueprints and documents to determine specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and tool changes.
- Ensure fabricated parts meet specifications and monitor multiple machines.
- Adjust machine operations as needed and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Record production data.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for long periods, restricted movement.
- Dirty and/or wet environment, varying shop temperatures.
- Intense noise, exposure to hazardous materials.
- Lifting or carrying heavy objects (up to 100 pounds).
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and related equipment.
- Ability to work with close tolerances and precision measuring instruments.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and production documents.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of machining methods and cutting tools.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work overtime if needed.
