Job Description


Pro Resources Staffing is recruiting for a CDL Driver/Warehouse Associate for one of our customers, located in Spencerville, IN.

Shift and Compensation
  • 1st Shift
  • $18- $22.00/hr

Job Duties
  • Operate a forklift and unload products
  • Assist with all warehouse activity as needed
  • Accurately pick orders in a safe, timely and effective manner as per bill of lading
  • Stage and check all orders for accuracy and efficiency
  • Load trailers as per order of delivery
  • Inspect all received product for damages and transfer to assigned proper location within warehouse
  • Ensure paperwork is properly distributed
  • Ensure all system entries are done properly and completely
  • Prepare empties for bulk pours including labeling
  • Wash empties for bulk filling productions
  • Always follow outlined procedures and safety protocols
  • Clean and maintain warehouse
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations
  • Conduct a standard DOT truck inspection
  • Complete all company and DOT required paperwork
  • Assist with warehouse inventory counts
  • Ensure that physical product matches product on bills of lading when shipping and receiving
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with staff and customers
  • May perform maintenance and/or repairs of equipment
  • Keeps equipment clean, well-maintained, and free of hazards
  • Other duties as assigned

Background Profile
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must hold a valid driver s license
  • Able to lift 65 lbs.
  • Able to climb ladders and work at elevated heights
  • Be willing and able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Able to work with internal customers and suppliers
  • Able to use warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, and hand jack
  • Able to work extra hours and weekends as needed to meet business demands during busy times of the year
  • Proven work experience as a truck driver
  • Hands on experience with software, such as GPS
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Ability to climb in and out of truck
  • Ability to tarp and remove tarp from hopper using a hopper crank
  • Must meet Department of Transportation age requirement of 21
  • Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening and random substance abuse screening as per company policy
  • Must pass motor vehicle report requirements as per company policy
