1st Shift Breakout & Deburring/Floater
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Limited mandatory overtime
Position Overview:
A local custom metal fabrication company is seeking a dependable and hardworking Breakout & Deburring/Floater for 1st shift. This position involves working with sheet metal products in a manufacturing environment and requires physical strength and attention to detail.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Punch out and separate finished parts from large sheets of cut metal
- Shake out metal components from production sheets
- Deburr and grind rough edges from cut metal parts
- Sand and smooth metal surfaces as needed
- Assist in various production areas as assigned
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift, move, and handle up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong upper body strength required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Work Environment:
- Industrial manufacturing setting
- Temperatures may be warm during summer months and cooler during winter months
- Exposure to metal fabrication equipment and materials
Requirements:
- Steel-toed boots required
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening requirements
