Bilingual Machine Operator / Wire Prep Technician (Spanish/English)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $16.00/hour
Work Environment: Air-conditioned facility
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Bilingual Machine Operator / Wire Prep Technician to support our production team. This role combines machine operation and wire preparation duties with the ability to assist in Spanish-to-English translation for coworkers during training, work instructions, and occasional meetings. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to help improve communication on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Operate industrial machinery used for cutting, bending, shaping, or processing materials for production.
Perform wire preparation tasks including cutting, stripping, labeling, and terminating wires to required specifications.
Follow production instructions, diagrams, and technical documents to ensure accurate work.
Monitor machine performance and report issues to supervisors or maintenance when needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in compliance with company safety procedures.
Work with team members to troubleshoot production problems and improve workflow efficiency.
Assist supervisors and trainers by translating job instructions, safety information, and meeting content between Spanish and English as needed.
Participate in cross-training and skill development to support multiple areas of production.
Qualifications
Ability to communicate in both Spanish and English is required.
1–2 years of manufacturing, machine operation, or wire prep experience preferred.
Ability to read technical instructions, diagrams, or work orders.
Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
Willingness to support coworkers by helping translate instructions when needed.
