Job Description:
The Compounder will be responsible for preparing and mixing product formulations according to specified procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and mix formulations according to production specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately as per the specified formulas.
- Operate and maintain mixing equipment, including tanks, pumps, and other processing machinery.
- Record and document all production batches, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
- Conduct basic quality tests on compounded formulations and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
- Strictly adhere to safety and industrial hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and production, to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Report any issues or deviations in the production process to supervisors immediately.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the personal care, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge and experience in handling mixing equipment and other production machinery.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work accurately.
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring ingredients correctly.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move moderate loads as necessary.
- Flexibility to work different shifts if required.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in chemistry, plumbing, equipment repair, or a related field is a plus.
- Bilingual is a plus
