Responsible for first stage of manufacturing, finish mixing of UV inks and the filling of relabeled powder products.
Primary Responsibilities
Read, understand and follow procedures pertaining to batching
Adhere to batch sequence of schedule batches prepared by Scheduler
Create and assure all correct labels are affixed to all containers and raw material in accordance to procedures.
Combine raw materials (or finished good products when making custom colors) following approved batch ticket. Note batch ticket and follow any special instructions per line item.
Complete after-mill process by combing mill base and after mill base. Mix ink thoroughly according to instruction on batch ticket. Pull sample of ink, perform finest of grind test and delivery retain to Quality Control area for inspection.
Visually inspect raw materials and batches for abnormalities.
Restock raw materials as depleted and report any shortage to Material Manger.
Clean and maintain a safe work area and equipment.
Notify Plant Operations Manager of any equipment breakage or improper functioning equipment.
Assist in the training and supervision of new batch makers and custom-color production personnel.
Assist other departments when time permits
Cross-train in other departments to increase skill level and awareness.
Additional Responsibilities
Serve as a backup for Samples, Pour Off as needed.
Minimum Acceptance Criteria
Good math aptitude
High level of attention to detail
Ability to lift 60 pounds
Must be able to operate required equipment without assistances
Must be able to work in a chemical environment without adverse reactions
Must be to work standing on feet for 8 hours per day
A willingness to learn new skills
Must be flexible and comfortable in a teamwork environment
Good work attendance record
