Are you a hands-on leader with a strong eye for quality and efficiency? We're looking for a Banding Line Coordinator to join our production team and take charge of the banding line operations. In this critical role, you'll ensure product quality, workflow accuracy, safety, and timely shipments—while guiding and mentoring your team in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead and coordinate daily activities on the banding line to ensure production meets schedule and customer requirements
Communicate job specs clearly to team members and ensure understanding of work orders and packaging standards
Review production schedules to prioritize workflow and eliminate bottlenecks
Monitor and adjust job sequencing to maintain efficiency
Quality & Compliance
Inspect incoming coils and outgoing packaging to ensure compliance with customer and internal quality standards
Identify and escalate any defects or issues to leadership for resolution
Verify slit cut sizes, labeling, and pallet dimensions for packaging accuracy
Safety & Housekeeping
Monitor the work area for safety concerns and take immediate corrective action as needed
Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support maintenance efforts by reporting equipment issues and assisting with basic adjustments
Equipment Operation & Technical Support
Operate downlayer and automatic banding equipment as needed
Use cranes, forklifts, hand tools, and measuring devices to complete tasks with precision
Ensure coils are securely banded and packaged according to customer specifications
Team Guidance & Cross-Training
Mentor team members and assist with onboarding and training of new employees
Step into other production roles as needed to maintain workflow
Promote high morale and productivity through effective team leadership
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, packaging coordination, or warehouse operations preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and coordination skills
Clear and effective verbal and written communication
Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with safety protocols and quality control in an industrial environment
Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and use measurement tools
Mathematical & Reasoning Abilities
Able to calculate measurements, ratios, and percentages accurately
Solve practical problems with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Regularly required to stand, bend, lift, and move materials
Must be able to safely operate cranes, forklifts, and packaging machinery
Work performed in a fast-paced, industrial environment with loud noise and varying temperatures
