Job Title: Auto & Trailer Mechanic
Pay: $19 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Auto & Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both vehicles and trailers. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and trailers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conduct brake system repairs and suspension work
- Repair and replace trailer components, including axles, wiring, lights, and hitches
- Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to identify and fix issues
- Perform welding and fabrication when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Follow safety regulations and company policies
- Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used
Requirements:
- 1 year or more of experience in a mechanic/technician-related field
- Must have own tools:
- Socket set
- Ratchets
- Extensions and Adapters
- Wrench Set
- Screwdrivers
- Pliers
- Allen Wrenches
- Torx Wrenches
- Impact
- Air Tools
- Creeper
- Strong knowledge of shop equipment, including lifts, air tools, and diagnostic tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Experience working with brake systems, suspension, axles, and trailer wiring
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various positions
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
Preferred Skills (Not Required, but a Plus):
- ASE certifications or equivalent training
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Knowledge of computerized diagnostic systems
- HVAC system repair experience
- Experience working on diesel engines and heavy-duty trailers
