Location: Marion, IN
Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm
Pay: $17-18/hr
Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Process payroll for Drivers and Shuttle Drivers
- Track guarantee pay for new drivers
- Prepare driver pay
- Process all owner op loads
- Process fuel surcharges on loads
Paperwork Management:
- Obtain and verify all necessary paperwork
- Follow-up on missing paperwork
- Manage miscellaneous charge and reimbursement receipts
- Handle carrier invoices including receiving, checking, scanning, entering payment, and filing
Financial Tasks:
- Verify daily cash balances
- Post all cash transactions (ACH and hand deposits)
- Manage assets including plates, permit books, EzPass, Prepass, maintenance tracking, and titling
- Assist with audits and permit filing
- Upload invoices to customer portals
Payroll and Accounting Support:
- Answer all payroll-related inquiries
- Process weekly hourly/salary payroll numbers
- Handle fuel tax processing monthly/quarterly
- Generate miscellaneous reports for payroll, assets, and carriers
- Track and manage vacation and personal day accruals and payouts
- Assist with month-end journal entries for payroll
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or payroll administration preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of payroll software systems is a plus
