3rd Shift Material Prep
Hours: 10:18 PM – 6:48 AM
Pay Rate: $18.69 per hour (could be more depending on experience)
Summary: A successful Material Prep Operator uses hand grinders, pedestal grinders and hand files to remove burrs and thread starts from various machined components in a safe manner. This is an hourly position reporting to the Machine Operator Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate manual Bridgeport machines, grinders and sandblasting equipment.
- Operate crane system for moving and handling heavier materials.
- Ability to comprehend all routing and product documentation.
- Ability to operate the parts washer.
- Ability to maintain the work area including housekeeping and organization.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with other department employees and other personnel as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Highschool Diploma or GED required.
- Requires strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to comprehend and follow work directions in a safe and proficient manner.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic experience with small hand tools, grinders sanders and files.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must be capable of obtaining a fork truck operators license and capable of operating a fork truck.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
