Job Title: Material Handler
Pay: $18/hour
Hours: 10:50pm – 7:00am
Position Overview
The Material Handler maintains material requirements for all production needs.
Key Position Responsibilities
- Reads production schedule and determines material requirements for production
- Moves materials and containers from storage or work sites to designated areas to meet requirements of production schedule
- Identifies materials and containers with suitable tags or labels
- Cleans work areas, machines, and equipment to assist operators
- Loads loose materials into hoppers and containers
- Mixes materials according to product requirements
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Frequently required walking and reaching with hands and arms.
- Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance
- Able to operate forklift

Work Environment
- The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.

Education and Training
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or three to six months related experience or training
