Job Status: Direct Hire
Hours/Shift: 2nd shift- 3pm 11pm. OT as needed
Salary: $20/hr+ DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and change parts on up to three CNC machines.
- Machine parts to specified tolerances and inspect with precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges.
- Perform hand operations like filing, fitting, and scraping.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning machine tables and sweeping/mopping the floor.
- Record job labor data into the terminal and train or instruct employees as needed.
- Review dispatch lists to prepare for upcoming jobs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Machine Trade School Certification or equivalent work experience.
- Strong background in mathematics and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of metal machinability, geometric tolerancing, and micro finishes.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
- At least 1-3 years of machine setup experience.
- Experience programming or running Mazak, HAAS or Hurco mills is a huge plus.
Skills Needed:
- Ability to interpret blueprints and machine parts as per engineering specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring tools and ensuring parts meet quality standards.
- Possess necessary hand tools and equipment for the role.
