2nd Shift Bolt Forming
Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.50 + $1.50 shift premium and $1.00 attendance bonus
(will most likely train on 3rd shift)
Job Summary:
The Bolt Forming Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used to form and manufacture bolts and fasteners. This position requires attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate bolt-forming machinery to produce fasteners according to specifications.
- Load and feed raw materials into machines.
- Monitor machines during production and make basic adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished bolts and fasteners for quality, size, and proper formation.
- Use measuring tools and gauges to verify products meet specifications.
- Identify defective or improperly formed parts and remove them from production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines.
- Complete required production and quality paperwork.
- Perform basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance as directed.
- Communicate any machine issues or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Meet production and quality standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience with fasteners, cold forming, presses, or similar manufacturing equipment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for handling materials and finished products.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
