Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Library Processor to prepare books and audio-visual materials according to customer specifications for use in public and private libraries.
Hours: 4:30pm-1am Sunday-Thursday with OT
Pay:$ 19.50
Job Duties
- Attach spine labels to books and compact discs
- Sort cards and labels
- Apply Mylar/Kapco protective covers to book jackets
- Perform stamping and theft identification procedures
- Audit processed materials for accuracy and quality
- Follow all safety guidelines and work instructions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 6 months of previous work experience
- Reading and writing skills at a high school level
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition and subtraction
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing workflow demands
- Ability to meet and maintain production standards
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to safely work in a warehouse environment
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Walk and stand continuously throughout the assigned shift
- Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Push and pull materials in a warehouse environment, with force requirements up to 45 lbs.
- Grip and grasp continuously
- Bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, crawl, and reach above shoulder level as needed
- Perform typing and keyboarding as required
- Work in a range of temperatures
- Work overtime when required, including time before or after the scheduled shift and/or weekends
Work Environment: Warehouse/processing environment with repetitive manual tasks and exposure to varying temperatures.
