Machine Operator is responsible for operating a 5 axis vertical CNC machine to cut and shape plastic parts with high precision.
Shift and Compensation
- 6am-4:30pm Mon- Thur (4 day work week!)
- $15 an hour
Job Duties
- Understand Paragon Plastics’ expectations for making quality parts.
- Understand and follow appropriate work instructions for each part.
- Inspect the machine, equipment and surrounding area for safety and quality compliance.
- Ensure the reference part is at your workstation before beginning the job.
- Move plastic sheets from a pallet to the 5 axis CNC machine.
- Enter the correct routing program into the machine.
- Change out the machine’s router bits as needed.
- Remove routed parts from the machine.
- Clean parts coming off machine with a pneumatic drill and grinder.
- Properly package parts per the work instructions.
- Making sure the machines are running at an efficient rate.
- Cut left over scrap into smaller pieces and put it in the correct receptacles.

- THE ABILITY TO MEET DAILY TARGETS AND QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTION NEEDS.
- ABILITY TO WORK REPETITIVE ASSEMBLY PROCESSES FOR HOURS WHILE PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAILS AND QUALITY OBJECTIVES.
- ABILITY TO WORK AS A TEAM OR STAND ALONE PROJECTS AND ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUIRED.
