Pro Resources is hiring a Shipper to join a busy, team-oriented warehouse and shipping operation. This role offers competitive pay, steady work, and a safety-focused environment where attention to detail and reliability are valued and recognized.
Hours: 10am-6:30pm with OT
Pay: $17.50
The Shipper Will
- Receive cartons from the appropriate shipping line, create pallet labels, scan, and palletize cartons, building pallets correctly for carrier pickup
- Lift cartons on and off the conveyor to palletize for carrier pickup, correcting carton weights as needed
- Use a portable scanning device to update and palletize cartons
- Print and attach additional shipping and customs documents as needed
- Follow routing instructions to ensure cartons are sent down the correct shipping lines, sealed, assembled, labeled, and wrapped
- Use a hand or motorized pallet jack to transport pallets to the machine wrapper
- Hand wrap or machine wrap completed pallets, attach pallet labels, and stage them for carrier pickup
- Perform ongoing cleanup and empty trash at the end of each shift
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work experience, including work that involved walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, bending, and reaching
- Reading comprehension and writing skills at a high school level
- Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction
- Basic computer skills, including keyboard, mouse, desktop, and portable scanner use
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work safely and follow safety guidelines in a warehouse environment
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and meet and maintain production standards
- Ability to work independently or in a group environment
- Ability to be flexible and multitask based on workflow demands
- Reliable attendance
Skills/Knowledge Preferred
- Prior shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience
- Experience operating a motorized pallet jack
- Experience using RF/handheld scanners or a warehouse management system (WMS)
- Familiarity with carrier shipping documents, bills of lading, or customs paperwork
- Experience with pallet building and stretch wrapping (hand or machine)
Physical Requirements
- Walk and stand continuously throughout the assigned shift
- Lift/carry up to 45 lbs. frequently during the assigned shift
- Push/pull up to 40 lbs. of force during the assigned shift
- Grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift
- Frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder level, and type/keyboard
- Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to a wide range of temperatures
- Work the designated shift, including overtime as required, which may include time before or after the shift and/or weekends
Essential Functions
Able to walk and stand continuously, grip and grasp, bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb, crawl, reach overhead, push/pull up to 40 lbs. of force, and lift up to 45 lbs. on a frequent basis for the duration of the assigned shift, including overtime as required, in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
