1st Shift WIP Specialist
Hours: 6:48 a.m.- 3:18 p.m.
Pay Rate: $22.88-$24.85 depending on experience
Summary:
This position issues job travelers to the shop floor. The position is an office, hourly position and reports to the Materials Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate all machine schedules, working with machine area supervisors, to ensure efficient processing.
- Evaluate material availability to support machine schedules.
- Maintain WIP adjustments.
- Issue job travelers to the shop floor.
- Follow-up with purchasing to address any material delivery concerns.
- Maintain job traveler due dates, as requirements change.
- Communicate all scheduling / manufacturing interruptions to the appropriate parties.
- Assist with manufacturing job traveler completions and partial closings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school Diploma or GED required.
Must have at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Must possess fundamental experience in manufacturing, scheduling of materials and inventory
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must be an ambitious self-starter with effective people skills
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
