This position is in Fort Wayne, IN at a plastic facility. The company has been in business for nearly 30 years and is still experiencing growth. Plastic is used in a lot of heavy equipment, such as John Deere.
Hours: 1st Shift Weekends – 7am-7:30pm; Saturday, Sunday, and choice of Weekday
Pay: $15.30/hr
Job Duties:
- Work on extrusion line where the plastic is melted down and formed in various shapes
- Bending down to measure out the plastics, mark them and cut it with a circular saw
- Work in the scrap area where they will cut up plastic and wood using a table saw
- Filling hoppers/Gaylord buckets/bins with plastic pellets (this is the lifting aspect of the job)
- Use tape measure, micrometers, and calipers
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 year in industrial environment
- Lifting 50+ lbs regularly
- This is a physical job when it comes to the bending required, it will make them sore in their knees and back the first week - it's a work out
- Must be able to work in a facility that is not climate controlled and gets VERY hot during summer months due to ovens running
- Must be able to read a tape measure and cut a straight line
