Responsible for the accurate packaging of all Norcote products into customer specified containers (kilos for Asia and some UK customers, gallons and quarts for U.S. etc.) Ensure appropriate labels are affixed to the right product. Visually inspect all products for defects. Maintain good inventory placement, storage and rotation of inventory. Supervise and train Temporary workforce in packaging of our inks and samples. Must be able to make appropriate inventory entries and/or adjustments.
Primary Responsibilities
Read, understand, and follow procedures pertaining to Pour Off
Check batch ticket for Quality Control’s approval
Check batch ticket for quantity and container size as indicated on batch ticket
Print appropriate labels for finished product identification
Identify correct batch and ensure it has been properly mixed prior to pour off
Double check label and compare batch ticket to labels and to label on container from which batch to about to be poured from.
Pour off all ink into correct containers to proper level or weight as indicated on batch ticket
Visually inspect ink while pouring for any defects.
Move containers to finish goods shelving and rotate stock
Complete batch ticket and place in holder for complete batch tickets
Place empty ink container in barrel washer unit and start cycle when unit is full
Clean and maintain a safe work area and equipment.
Notify Plant Operations Manager of any equipment breakage or improper functioning equipment.
Assist in the training and supervision of new pour off personnel.
Assist other departments when time permits
Cross-train in other departments to increase skill level and awareness.
Complete batch tickets as required by this department (ex: final yield amt, initial for labels)
Minimum Acceptance Criteria
High school diploma or G.E.D
Be able to operate computers and software
High level of attention to detail
Ability to lift 75 pounds. Not repetitively.
Must be able to operate required equipment without assistances
Must be able to work in a chemical environment without adverse reactions
Must be to work standing on feet for 8 hours per day
A willingness to learn new skills
Must be flexible and comfortable in a teamwork environment
Good work attendance record
