ob Title: Floor Person
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Location: Elkhart
Shift: 6:50am - 3pm
Position Overview:
The Floor Person is a vital member of our production team, responsible for various tasks including scanning products, creating labels and boxes, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, assisting the supervisor in providing breaks, and handling the movement of materials to and from the production floor. Additionally, the Floor Person will be involved in making and inspecting injection-molded parts as needed.
Key Position Responsibilities:
Create labels and cartons for the shift
Scan products accurately
Keep the floor tidy and organized
Assist the supervisor in giving breaks to team members
Move products and materials to and from the production floor
Follow instructions outlined in the Control Plan for molding and inspecting parts
Verify that no parts or runners are stuck in the mold before cycling
Alert the supervisor immediately in case of defects or machine malfunctions
Record all defects on the Defect Report
Operate a grinder to handle part runners and defective parts
Maintain cleanliness in the immediate area around the machine to ensure a safe work environment
Pack products into shipping containers efficiently
Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
On-the-job training will be provided
Completion of additional training as outlined in the Production Training Matrix
Ability to frequently walk and reach with hands and arms
Capability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:
Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
Moderate noise level in the work environment
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
