Pro Resources is seeking a 1st shift Quality Auditor for an automotive company in Fort Wayne, IN. In this position the candidate will be supporting Manufacturing by performing first piece, in-process and final audit/inspections per the Quality Management system documentation. Also assist in the control of non-conforming material, including containment and review of rework processes.
Shift and Compensation
Job Duties
- Read and understand blueprint drawings and job documentation.
- Use basic inspection instruments to perform test and measurement evaluations (First piece, in-process & final) to ensure parts conform to all specified requirements.
- Coordinate with Lab Technician on inspections that require advanced measurement techniques.
- Assist in the control of non-conforming material, including identification, containment and review of scrap and/or reworked materials.
- Prepare quality inspection documentation as needed.
- Assist Quality Manager, Supervisor, and Engineers as needed.
- Assist with Calibrations as directed by Quality Technician.
- Post quality alerts and train production associates to their contents
- Establish and promote a Safe work environment.
- Perform other essential duties as assigned.
Background Profile
- A high school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and recommended one year in a quality/containment environment.
- Ability to read and interpret production blueprints and instructions, with GD&T knowledge.
- Knowledge of Quality Management systems and how it relates to the production floor.
- Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Ability to use measuring devices / equipment is preferred. (calipers, micrometers, steel rule, etc…).
- Ability to lift 25lbs
- Experience with computer operations, inclusive of data entry is a plus.
