Pro Resources Staffing Service has a 1st shift DIRECT HIRE opportunity to work as a Quality Associate for one of our clients in the Portland area. You would be working from 6am-6pm on a 3-2-2 rotation shift. The Quality Associate will provide support to the Quality Department by performing incoming product inspection, gauge calibration, Certificate of Compliance; creating sample board, labels, shop packets; and entering production reports according to the company’s safety, quality, housekeeping and production standards. Job Duties:
ï‚· Performs daily quality checks to verify that products meet quality standards as defined by the company and its customers. Notify Manufacturing management when critical characteristics are out of tolerance. Put product/machines on hold based on quality checks.
ï‚· Collects, records, organizes, and distributes quality-related information as required to Manufacturing/Engineering and Sales.
ï‚· Trains operators as it pertains to quality-related issues.
ï‚· Performs first piece inspection and release product for production including expedited UN testing.
ï‚· Performs incoming resin testing. Accept/Reject load based on test results.
ï‚· Answers incoming telephone calls in absence of clerical support, as needed.
ï‚· Perform Quality Assistant duties, as needed.
ï‚· Contributes positive suggestions or comments concerning quality, production, safety and housekeeping.
ï‚· Duties may vary by location.
ï‚· Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Background Profile:
ï‚· High school diploma or GED education required, vocational training or Associate’s degree preferred.
ï‚· Should have one to three years of relevant work experience.
ï‚· Basic problem solving, mechanical, and computer related skilled required.
ï‚· Intermediate written and oral communication, analytical, and decision making skills required.
ï‚· Ability to drive powered industrial truck preferred.
