The Design Verification & Validation Test Engineer s (DV&VTE) primary role is to work as part of New Product Development (NPD) or Sustaining Engineering teams in verifying performance of hardware, software, firmware and mechanical subsystems/modules and in finding potential product defects before a design or design fix is released. The DV&VTE will develop test plans and test cases, execute and document tests that will ensure proper performance of Radian products. The DV&VTE will collaborate closely with various Engineering Staff, Customer Support Staff, Laboratory Staff and Quality Assurance Staff to implement the testing of products and/or subassemblies.
Creates and executes test plans to verify that products are in accordance with Radian product requirements and Customer expectations.
Provides input as part of NPD project teams, providing expertise to guide design/ development, testing plans and documentation. DV&VTE participates in product design reviews, requirements meetings, and in production and testing process development.
Keeps Director of Quality Assurance and NPD Project Lead appraised of any quality concerns or potential design shortfalls discovered during testing.
Prepares concise, detailed, professional test reports that become part of the NPD design history file or Change Activity Request files for Sustaining Engineering projects.
Uses project management skills to plan work, meet deadlines and adapt to the changing needs of a cross-function team-based project.
Performs data analysis to ensure only accurate information is presented to management.
Supports Production with the development and analysis of testing equipment when needed.
