Shift and Compensation
- 2nd and 3rd Shift
- Compensation: Up to $43680 per year +$1.25 shift premium
Job Duties
- Supervises the overall department to accomplish daily production requirements, safety standards & quality standards are maintained.
- Maintains the integrity of the current Quality System through enforcement of the Food Safety and HACCP program
- Assures proper materials, lot numbers and quantities are used according to recipes & stickers are applied to paperwork for traceability and inventory integrity.
- Will demonstrate proper PPE, safety requirements of tasks performed using proper lifting, pulling, pushing and asking for and giving help when needed.
- Lead will ensure all SOP’s, Procedures, WI, including but not limited to the actual task, Allergens, GMP’s etc. are followed and understood.
- Ensures that raw materials are available in a timely manner to meet the day’s production plan/schedule.
- Assigns tasks through rotating schedule to ensure cross training for each team member
- Ensures all CCP’s are understood and recorded on the appropriate forms.
- Lead ensures all quality checks are performed & recorded including but not limited to Brix, pH, conductivity, cenco, temperature, and pressure checks.
- Ensures sanitation/cleaning tasks are performed in a satisfactory manner and are completed daily
- Ensures equipment and environment are understood by all employees which can include, Lock out tag out (LOTO), Optimal processing (centerline), safety requirements, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring of all paperwork within the production department, (ex) KPI’s, CCP’s, consumption, WIP/UPR, Pre-ops, checklists, etc.
- Ensures annual and daily tasks are trained and understood by all employees on shift.
- Coordinates and communicates with all departments associated with any type of production needs to accomplish set goals.
- Ensures that the areas and team members are in a GMP compliant environment, uphold master sanitation and standardization of cleanliness is kept.
- Conducts new hire training in all aspects of Production, Sanitation, Quality and Safety.
- Turns in documented trained forms once operator training is complete.
- Ensures SOP’s, procedures, work instructions and OPL’s are used, understood and followed..
- Monitors employee mannerisms and coaches on them on how to work safely and best practices.
- Follows Day Plan/schedule & Shift Lead direction on proper cooker cleaning, chemical cleaning, sterilizing of lines.
Background Profile
- Related manufacturing or processing experience and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Lead or supervisor experience.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Mechanical abilities are desired.
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Lift Up to 50 lbs
