The position of Production/ Bed Supervisor works directly with the Production Manager and is responsible for the daily management of a production bed crew including, but not limited to: stripping, bed set-up, concrete pouring and finishing.
Description of Responsibilities:
Supervises the production team and insures that team members have the proper training and PPE (personal protective equipment) for their daily tasks.
Responsible for maintaining company safety regulations and procedures.
Ensures crew maintains a clean work area, properly storing all tools at the end of each shift.
Review blueprints and shop drawings and become well versed in the currently running job and/or the next job.
Ensures that there are sufficient cable rolls and any other production supplies for each shift.
Ensures that the Bed is properly set up and assists the Quality Control Inspector to verify correct setup.
Ensures that Bed forms are clean and well maintained and repaired as needed.
Ensures that the Bed production team is properly scheduled and kept busy and assists the production team with any problems.
In conjunction with the Production Manager, interviews, hires, trains, disciplines, and terminates production personnel as required.
Approves vacations and sick days for production team members.
Ensures that time cards are properly completed and signed by each employee.
Assists other foremen and production teams with any problems as necessary.
Ensures that heat is turned on or bed is covered as necessary.
Ensures that everything that needs to be laid out or picked up for the next day s production is completed before the end of the today s shift, as appropriate.
Maintains an effective and relevant job duties list for all production team members.
Fairly and consistently applies Company and personnel policies within the production area.
Responsible for all other duties, roles and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor(s) or management.
