Parts Room experience wanted for a local Angola, Indiana facility. Pay does depend on experience, starting range at $10.00 per hour.


General Duties
  • Track and analyze parts usage and inventory stocking levels;
  • Shipping and receiving of parts and equipment;
  • Take necessary action to remedy any deficiencies;
  • Ensure all parts tracking and PO information is up-to-date and accurate at all times;
  • Communicate with Shop Operations Supervisor problems identified with parts;
  • Ensure needed parts and inventory levels are maintained at efficient and optimum levels;
  • Manage min/max inventory program. Adjust based on seasonal needs, vendor availability
  • Stock all parts;
  • Provide counter service;
  • Maintain a clean and orderly parts room;
  • Ensure accurate and reliability of data entered into computer;
  • Maintain files and records, providing reports as necessary;
  • Order special (non-stock) parts for repair orders, following order policies and procedures;
  • Manage returns of parts;
  • Complete all other assigned duties;
  • Monitor credit memos ensuring accurate vendor credit invoiced;
  • Reconcile vendor statements; and
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, maintain an attention to detail and accuracy, while working in a team or group environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements
  • Knowledge in parts inventory equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of high school or equivalent certification and job experience;
  • Computer and organizations skills;
  • Ability prioritize work, meet deadlines, maintain an attention to detail accuracy while working in a team environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills;
  • Ability to assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of production;
  • Ability to negotiate;
  • Ability to supervise personnel as needed; and
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • dealer parts room experience required
  • Fully skilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs and inventory management software and processes.
