Search Engine Marketing Specialist
1st Shift
$50, 000 per year


The main focus of this position will be to conduct online product research on both our own company website and on popular search engines as well as to maintain, monitor and manage PPC and PLA ads and website analytics.  You will conduct analysis of current web campaigns, and gather, analyze, forecast and report ad results to our Marketing team.  The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the company s customer base, and creating effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of our firm.  Focus will be on fiduciary duty  meaning reduced spending on campaigns that can be won organically.  Keeping up with trends and new features within the popular paid search tools is imperative.

Essential Functions
  1. Management and execution of day-to-day duties of digital advertising campaigns, including placement, optimization, analysis and reporting.
  2. Keeps categories updated and division of products relevant.
  3. Maintains and monitors keyword bids, account for daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics.
  4. Manages and maintains updates for large keyword lists.
  5. Provides creative copy suggestions and graphical ad templates.
  6. Provides recommendations and executes strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search in accordance with  company goals.
  7. Uses Google Analytics to find, sort, report and analyze client data and turn it into business solutions for current, ongoing campaigns.
  8. Communicates data results and insights to  management of varying levels of knowledge.
  9. Derives insights from data to showcase digital advertising s impact on overall marketing efforts
  10. Supports the generation of new paid search campaigns, ad groups, and accounts and aid in the creation of new paid search marketing initiatives.
  11. Generates weekly and monthly reporting for all major metrics, goals tracking, revenue tracking, and other paid search initiatives.
  12. Monitors and administers web analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools, and points out key areas of importance in accordance with company goals.
  13. Monitors and evaluates search results and search performance across the major search channels.
  14. Provides communication to team and management on project development, timelines, and results.
  15. Keeps pace with search engine and PPC / PLA industry trends and developments.  Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.
  16. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects.

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor s Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related discipline.
  2. Possession of ground-level Google and Bing certifications and working towards certification in all areas offered.
  3. Experience with creating and implementing custom scripts/Google tag manager.
  4. 1-3 years experience in a similar marketing role preferred, but not required.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing concepts e.G. SEO, organic ranking, retargeting, video marketing, etc.
