Pro Resources Staffing Service is assisting a leading print and digital media distribution company delivering results by connecting businesses to consumers in rural America, in their search for an experienced Plant Maintenance Technician to maintain and ensure proper operation of machinery while sustaining a high level of production quality located in Indianapolis.
In this key role reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible performing preventative and corrective maintenance on facility machinery during our slow periods of the month. During their 10-day monthly production cycle the focus is on maintaining production efficiency and quality within the facility. In addition to the technical aspects of the position you will assist in training part time machine operators to ensure they understand and maintain proper operating procedures.
Qualified candidates will possess strong experience trouble shooting machinery in a manufacturing or production environment and basic electrical knowledge; experience working in a fast-paced, quality driven environment. Overtime is available during their 10-day monthly production period.
There are two openings! During most of the month hours will be 3: 00pm-11: 00pm. During their monthly end of month production cycle, that usually runs Tuesday night through Thursday of the following week once a month. During the end of month production cycle you may be required to work up to 12 hours per day for up to 11 days.
During the end of month production:
Night shift is 6: 00pm 4: 30am
Troubleshoot, identify, and perform preventative maintenance repairs and refurbishing of machinery during production and non-production periods.
Have the understanding of basic electrical principles.
Train and assist part-time machine personnel and Crew Leaders to ensure proper processes are followed; quality of product meets specifications and assist with setup and adjustments of machinery.
Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and exhibits an extreme sense of urgency.
Needs to possess good problem solving capabilities while performing complicated procedures on large
machinery to minimize down time.
Is thorough in his or her work and completes all work orders in an accurate and timely manner coming from
(PMS) Preventative Maintenance System software.
Evaluate Crew Leaders and part-time personnel. Give feedback to part-time employees when procedures are
not followed properly or when production errors occur.
Follow lockout/tag-out procedures and ensure that all employees adhere to MSpark safety policies.
Confers with Lead Technician to determine progress of work and to provide concerns for problems that could
cause production delays.
Seeks the appropriate assistance on all training concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
