Provides proper material to the maintenance department in the way of parts, tools, storage, and equipment
Coordinates all purchases of tooling, tools, parts, and equipment for the maintenance department and production operations
Maintains PM and Work order paperwork documentation and files for document control.
Tracks due dates for PMs and purchases all parts required for routine maintenance.
Places orders and tracks status of purchases for arrival.
Sources alternative vendors to acquire the best price and provides options, while also weighing the urgency and need for parts.
Coordinates purchasing of parts and tools with the other plant to keep an accurate inventory between the plants and to insure the best pricing and compare alternatives for sources of parts.
Works with Accounts Payable for receiving and invoicing accuracy.
Resolves issues with vendors on late deliveries, incorrect order fulfillment, and defective parts.
Processes all work orders and keeps track of assigned work orders and missing work orders.
Arranges maintenance parts storage and keeps physical accountability of parts to match up with the GP system.
Trained maintenance techs on the Maintenance Connection system, and structures asset assignment to equipment in the system.
Maintains the entire PM system for assigned, in-process and completed PMs.
Arranges regular testing and maintenance on the air compressors, boilers, and fire suppression systems.
Manages spare parts inventory to include setting up minimum and maximum quantities in GP. Makes changes to the PMs as needed and approved.
Submits new chemical approval forms for lubricants and greases for equipment as needed.
KEY SKILLS NEEDED:
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
Knowledgeable and proficient on a computer, including Microsoft Office and Great Plains system preferred.
Possess the ability to creatively solve problems and perform basic bookkeeping.
Excellent organizational skills, accurate record keeping and detail orientation is necessary.
Purchasing experience and communicating with vendors required.
Mechanical aptitude required. Ability to read blueprints.
Understanding of maintenance processes and parts.
