Position Summary:
This mid-level position involves supporting all aspects of planning, designing, and developing analog electronic design circuits for precision instrumentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing tasks in Radian s new product development process from initial concepts through production release. They will also be able to support rapid prototyping of hardware and firmware, circuit debug, and test fixture design.

Responsibilities:
Design, analyze, develop, build and test analog circuitry for various high accuracy measurement products
Assist in component sourcing
Design, construct, and program test fixtures
Produce documentation and test procedures suitable for internal production and vendor outsourcing
Support and design improvements for existing products, as needed
Participate on cross-functional and interdepartmental teams to develop new products
Project management team member
Other items as needed

Education:
Minimum of Bachelor of Science of Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree or experience

Experience:
Minimum of 4 years design experience in analog hardware design

Knowledge of:
Project management principles
Writing procedures and assembly documentation
Stage/gate new product development processes
Technical documentation creation and control

Skilled at:
Analog circuit design, analysis and simulation, including, but not limited to operational amplifiers, power amplifiers, A/D and D/A converters, all ideally with precision and stable performance requirements
Using laboratory test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
Schematic capture and circuit simulation
Creative technical problem solving

Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledgeable with digital circuit design
Knowledge of Instrumentation transformers
Experience with utility metering and power/energy measurements
Experience with high accuracy instrumentation design
Knowledge of CE and UL requirements
Grounding / Shielding / Isolation techniques
Circuit board layout for with critical measurement circuits
Self-managed and motivated
Able to work well in interdisciplinary environment
Interest and ability to learn new technical skills
Detail oriented with an understanding of big picture
