Pro Resources staffing has partnered with Charleston Metal company seeking experienced CNC Operator and Setup associates. CNC Operators and Setup associates are responsible for the setup and operation of 1 or more machine tool, special purpose machine, or industrial robot to machine metal workpieces to specifications on a production basis.
 
Compensation and Shift Details
Pay:$12.50  Shift: 11pm-7am Sunday-Thursday

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by wearing appropriate safety equipment, following safe work practices and operating equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Lift workpiece manually to secure in fixture or load automatic feeding device, starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation.
Inspect and measure machined workpieces to verify conformance to specifications using instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.
Move machine controls and guides to adjust machine, replace worn machine accessories such as cutting tools, add coolant to machine reservoir, and operate controls regulating the flow of coolant.
File, grind or scrape sharp edges, burrs, scales or rust from workpieces using portable grinders, hand tools, or other equipment.
Clean machined parts using degreasing tank, solvent, or air guns.
Transport material manually or give signals to a lift truck operator to move material.
Clean machine, perform basic maintenance and maintain fluid levels.
Operate equipment other than CNC while operating the machine tool, such as a drill press, etc.
Monitors and documents quality and production data as required.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Has the authority to stop shipment and / or to stop production to correct quality problems and prevent quality issues from reaching our customers.
May be assigned other duties as required.
Expected to provide the following gauges for part inspection:
0-6 Calipers
0-1 Micrometer
0-1 Depth Micrometer

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Prior knowledge of CNC practices and equipment preferred.
