This role involves setting up and operating CNC machines to fabricate materials, monitoring machine performance, and troubleshooting issues. Position: CNC Setup/Operator
Location: Goodland, IN
Hours/Shift: 6am-4pm (M-F) or 4pm-6am (M-TH)
Payrate: $20-25 BOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines, saws, and other equipment.
- Use precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
- Read blueprints and documents to determine specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and tool changes.
- Ensure fabricated parts meet specifications.
- Monitor and adjust machine operations as needed.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Record production data and manage tooling.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for long periods, restricted movement.
- Dirty environment, extreme temperatures, intense noise.
- Exposure to hazardous materials.
- Lifting or carrying heavy objects (up to 100 pounds).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of CNC machine operation experience.
- Proficient in Gibbs, Mastercam, and G Code.
- Ability to set up and verify processes.
- Adaptable to changing work environments.
- Effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of safe manufacturing practices.
